LYN TAYLOR
I have been expressing myself in many creative forms so far in my life and have come now to photography. Born in Melbourne I have spent all of my adult life living in Queensland, much of that time in the bush. A fifteen-year stint managing a community services agency ended with an awareness of the need to pay attention to that urge to express creatively what was bubbling away inside. My life expanded after travelling throughout Asia providing much of the inspiration that guides my life currently.
In my photography I try to see what is invisible to the naked eye, or merely hinted at. I aim to look at the everyday in a way that I have never looked before. I want to create images of beauty and intrigue, compelling the viewer to take a second look. I try to create a vision that will communicate something to the viewer. I find peace and harmony in simplicity and strive for lines, colours or shapes that achieve that.
Photography is not about understanding what an image is about…but feeling it in the core of your being…
